Terms and Conditions of Stay - 2025 v2
Gwersyllfa Pant Yr Onnen Lakeside Campsite is a special place surrounded by countryside, nature and the lake. (Llyn Tegid).
These terms and conditions create a relaxed, quiet and enjoyable experience for everyone.
The Contract:
A contract between Gwersyllfa Pant Yr Onnen Lakeside Campsite (referred to as “us” “we” or “our”) and you (referred to as “you’ or “your”) will come into existence
when we confirm your booking and a payment is received. The contract binds you and all members of your party. Failure to disclose all the relevant information
or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract and loss of the booking with no refund. The contract with you is not transferable.
Bookings:
•
Bookings can be made via our website - https://www.pantyronnencampsite.co.uk (BOOK NOW).
•
When booking you agree to advise us of all your requirements, and that you or at least one member of the party is 21 years of age or over.
•
Your booking will be confirmed by email. Remember to check your junk/spam folder.
Please check that all the information is correct and inform us immediately (by email) if anything is incorrect.
•
Your booking is not transferable to a third-party.
•
Weekend camping bookings are subject to a minimum 2-night stay.
•
When one night of a weekend is full, we allow single night bookings for the other night, please email for availability.
•
All Bank Holiday weekends are subject to a minimum 3-night stay. (Friday to Monday).
•
School Holiday dates for camping are subject to a minimum night stay.
•
Shepherds Hut are a minimum 2-night stay at all times, except Bank Holidays, which are subject to a minimum 3-night stay (Friday to Monday).
•
We do accept bookings on the day of arrival, but we cannot guarantee availability.
Group Bookings:
•
We generally accept bookings from families and couples.
•
Family/Friends of 2 or more units and Organised groups (e.g Canoe clubs, Sailing Clubs, Walking groups, school groups, Scouts and D of E etc.) must be by
prior arrangement and will be at the campsite’s discretion.
•
No stag/hen parties.
Payments:
•
Your booking will be confirmed by email once a payment has been received.
•
Payment constitutes accepting all our terms and conditions.
•
Our Tariff is displayed on our website and is based on a per night stay.
•
All payments are inclusive of VAT. If the VAT rate changes, we reserve the right to charge you accordingly.
•
All payments are non-refundable/non-transferable in any circumstances unless we cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances.
•
All payments are NOT transferable to a third party.
•
YOU ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE IN THE EVENT THAT YOU HAVE TO CANCEL YOUR BOOKING.
IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE THEN YOU ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY LOSS THAT YOU MAY INCUR DUE TO YOUR
CANCELLATION.
•
If you must cut your stay short for any reason, you will not be entitled to any refunds.
•
All major credit and debit cards are accepted, and we do not charge card transaction fees.
DEPOSIT Camping Pitch:
•
A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of 30% of the booking amount (including pitch additionals) is required when booking a pitch.
DEPOSIT Shepherds Hut:
•
A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit is equivalent to the first night stay (including pitch additionals).
Balance Payment:
•
You will receive an email 28 days prior to your arrival date and the balance payment is due 21 days prior to check in.
•
We will always attempt to contact you once via email and/or text message before cancelling your booking, however if we fail to receive a response within 24
hours, your booking will be cancelled, and we will retain your deposit as a cancellation charge.
Change of dates:
•
If you need to change the dates booked, this is subject to availability, and we require 29 days notice before the booked arrival date and an administration fee
of £10 per pitch.
•
A change of date amendment can only be made once, and the new dates must be in the same year of the original dates booked.
•
If we do not have availability and you then wish to cancel, any monies paid will not be refunded.
•
Deposit payments are non-refundable/non-transferable under any circumstances, and it will not be refunded if you reduce the number of nights booked.
•
You can add additional dates to your existing booking, subject to availability, no administration fee will be charged.
Booking Amendments:
•
If you wish to make any amendments to your booking, this is subject to availability, and we require 29 days notice before the booked arrival date and an
administration fee of £10 per pitch.
•
You can add additionals to your existing booking, subject to availability, no administration fee will be charged.
Cancellation:
•
Cancellation requests received 21 days or more prior to your planned arrival date will be accepted subject to forfeiture of your booking deposit payment.
•
Cancellation request received 21 days or less prior to your planned arrival date you will forfeit all monies paid.
•
Extras of any description are considered part of your booking and are therefore non-refundable if they are cancelled whether in part or fully.
•
No refunds are given under any circumstances whether for non-arrival, arriving on a different day to your booked arrival date or you depart earlier than your
booked departure date.
•
YOU ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE IN THE EVENT THAT YOU HAVE TO CANCEL YOUR BOOKING.
IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE THEN YOU ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY LOSS THAT YOU MAY INCUR DUE TO YOUR
CANCELLATION.
Insurance:
•
Your inability (or inability of any, some or all of your intended party) or disinclination to travel and stay at the Campsite for any reason, including (but is not
limited to) illness (including Covid), a requirement or recommendation to self-isolate or quarantine, shielding, jury duty, military service, incarceration, change
in personal or work circumstances, family emergencies, accident, injury, travel delays, vehicle breakdown, and delays with public transport. These remain at
your risk and do not give rise to a right to cancel, amend your booking or to receive any refund.
•
YOU ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE TO COVER THESE EVENTUALITIES.
IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE THEN YOU ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY LOSS THAT YOU MAY INCUR DUE TO YOUR
CANCELLATION.
Inclement Weather:
•
We are unable to control the weather, a bad weather forecast is not and will never be a ground for refund or to move a booking.
Circumstances beyond our control:
•
We are not liable for refunds or expenses you may incur in the event we are prevented from fulfilling your booking because of circumstances beyond our
control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots, or civil unrest, Strikes and Industrial action, weather, flooding, natural
disasters, pandemic and epidemic, health risks, failure of public or private utilities or such similar events (“Force Majeure.”)
•
WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU HAVE ADEQUATE HOLIDAY INSURANCE IN PLACE TO COVER THIS.
IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE THEN YOU ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY LOSS THAT YOU MAY INCUR DUE TO YOUR
CANCELLATION.
Cancellation by us:
•
If for any reason (excluding circumstances beyond our control), we have to cancel your booking, we will offer you a full refund of any fees paid or the option
of an alternative pitch/date (with you paying any additional cost or receiving a refund in respect of a price difference.)
•
No other compensation is available.
Lockdown:
•
In the event that your given address is put into local or regional lockdown with a travel restriction covering your booking dates, or your booking has to be
cancelled due to us being put under Government Restrictions and we have to close and the period of closure covers your booking, we will transfer your
booking dates to another date within the same year, with no administration fee and no restriction of the number of days’ notice.
CHECK IN: (Arrival on Site)
•
CAMPING: Check in time is between 1pm and 7pm.
•
SHEPHERDS HUT: Check in time is between 2pm and 7pm.
•
Please plan your journey to ensure that you do not arrive before the check in time.
•
All New Arrivals must report to reception, please call us on arrival if reception is closed.
•
Late arrivals by prior arrangement only. Strictly no new arrivals after 9pm. (This rule is in place to protect our campers from disturbance caused by late
pitching).
•
Late arrivals without prior notification, will be subject to a late check in fee.
•
If you fail to arrive on the booked date and have not notified us of your delayed arrival, your booking will be cancelled at 9am the following morning and the
pitch re-let. You will not be entitled to any refund or postponement of the booking.
CHECK OUT: (Departure from Site)
•
CAMPING: Check out time is before 11am.
•
SHEPHERDS HUT: Check out time is before 10am.
•
Please help the smooth running of the changeovers by observing the above times.
•
Late departure which subsequently impedes the arrival of the next guests will incur a late check out fee.
•
It may be possible for you to stay on site until 6pm on the day of departure or you may wish to extend your stay, these are by prior arrangement and subject
to availability. Please contact Reception before 10.00am. *Charges apply*.
VISITORS (DAY OR OVERNIGHT): *Charges apply* (Please email us for prices).
*Anyone who wishes to visit you on the campsite, whether for “only 10 minutes,” “an hour or so” OR to stay overnight*
•
Visitors (DAY) -Visiting Times - Arrival and departure times are between 10 am and 6 pm.
Please do not ask to extend their stay beyond 6pm as it will not be possible.
This is for the security and comfort of the campers staying on site. *No Day Visitors after 2pm.*
•
Visitors (OVERNIGHT) – Day Visitors including a 1-night stay - Arrival after 10am and must depart by 11am next day.
•
We have a responsibility to ensure the enjoyment of our overnight camping guests first and foremost over a request for Visitors. We therefore have a strict
visitors policy.
•
We allow a limited number of people on to the site at any one time and will only be allowed at the discretion of the Campsite Owners and Staff.
•
Charges apply for all visitors and 24 hours’ notice is required.
•
It is your responsibility to ensure your visitors adhere to our full terms and conditions.
If they do not adhere to our terms and conditions, all of you will be asked to leave the site, with no refund given.
•
All Visitors must be checked in at reception on arrival with names, contact numbers and vehicle registration numbers and must park in the allocated parking
space.
•
If visitors are found on site that are not booked in, all of you will be asked to leave immediately, with no refund given.
•
We reserve the right to restrict visitors where it is necessary to maintain overall site safety and security.
PITCHES:
•
All pitches are pre-allocated before arrival. Where possible, we will try to accommodate your specific requests, however we cannot guarantee that we will be
able to accommodate your requests.
•
Pitching of tents or the siting of caravans, motorhomes and all other units must be on the specific pitch and within the pitch boundary as advised on arrival
by the campsite owners and staff.
•
Awnings, toilet tent, A frame tow-car with Motorhome or Campervan and small trailer for camping equipment are included in the pitch price.
•
We do not accept stand-alone tents or gazebos/event shelters as awnings. Drive-away awnings are accepted.
•
Pop up tents, gazebos/event shelters are allowed, must be pre booked and are chargeable.
•
Our definition of a Pop-Up tent = Storage tent or small 1 person tent that is occupied solely by a child under the age of 15 years old.
•
Some parts of the campsite have slopes and levelling ramps may be required.
•
You must keep your pitch and the area around your unit clean and tidy to allow for grass cutting.
•
Please do not carry any items such as stones, driftwood etc. to your pitch.
In order to prevent permanent damage to the grass pitches:
•
All awning and tent ground sheets must be breathable, we ask that you lift them at frequent intervals during your stay or as required by the campsite owners
and staff.
•
Tents will be required to move pitch after seven days. We will assist you with this move.
ELECTRIC HOOK UPS:
•
Units that require electric hook up and Units that do not require electric hook up will not be pitched together.
•
Tents requiring electrical hook up must have the correct hook up cable with circuit breaker.
•
You may need a 25m cable to make connection to some electric hook ups, depending on the specific location of the pitch assigned to you. We do carry “on
loan” cables.
•
Electric cars must NOT be plugged in and charged using any electric hook up points on your pitch or any other socket on the site. If we find a car charging via
an electric hook up or any other socket on site an instant £50 fine will be imposed.
(A designated charging point may be available on the site sometime in the future, for which there will be a charge.)
Please ask at Reception for the nearest charging points.
•
No Splitters or adaptors to be used. Only ONE electric hook up cable from ONE electric hook up point per pitch to your main unit OR awning OR gazebo. No
other leads/adapters or splitters to be used.
•
Strictly NO electric household heaters to be used in units or awnings at any time. *Camping heaters only.
CHILDREN:
•
Children are the responsibility of their parents/guardians at all times.
•
Young children must be supervised in the toilet and shower block.
•
Soft ball games only and avoid playing close to other campers’ units.
DOGS:
•
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on condition that they are always kept on short leads (no more than 2 metres).
•
Any accidental fouling is to be picked up immediately and placed in the correct bins.
•
No dangerous breeds as listed on the Dangerous Dog Act 1991.
•
No dogs (except assistance dogs) must enter the toilet and shower block.
•
Dogs can be let off the lead at the lake’s edge to go into the lake but must be put back on the lead once out of the lake.
•
You must not leave your dog in your unit, awning or on the pitch unaccompanied.
•
Young children should not be left in charge of dogs.
•
Please do not use any of the wash facilities to clean your dog.
VEHICLES /BOATS AND TRAILERS:
•
One vehicle per pitch is permitted to park on the pitch. (Ground and weather conditions permitting).
•
Additional vehicles by arrangement only.
•
Vehicles should avoid driving on the grass other than to access the pitch.
•
All vehicles must observe the 10-mph speed limit and no vehicle movement after 10pm and before 6am.
•
All boats and trailers are to be parked on the foreshore gravel and not on your pitch (or pitches).
•
Cars, boats and trailers must not park or obstruct the launching area.
•
Please notify us if you have requested assistance for a breakdown vehicle (no breakdown vehicle after 8pm).
TREES/BUSHES/ENVIRONMENT:
•
Trees, bushes, and shrubs on the campsite are protected under SSSI regulations.
•
Please do not climb or sit on the trees or roots or cut/damage them in any way.
•
Do not collect live or dead wood from around the campsite or the surrounding farmland and woodland.
•
The site is situated within a rural environment of the Eryri National Park, and we do not accept responsibility for any damage, injury or inconvenience caused
by the weather, plants, trees, insects, animals or wildlife.
DARK SKY RESERVE:
•
We are in a Dark Sky Reserve and therefore ask that all lighting is kept to a minimum to avoid light pollution.
•
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
BARBEQUES:
•
Charcoal or gas only BBQs allowed on the pitches.
•
All BBQ’s must be raised at least 40 cm off the grass and must be outside in open air at all times and be 3 metres away from all units (tents, caravans,
vehicles, hedges, trees or property).
•
We do not allow BBQ’s to be made into fires after cooking on your pitch.
•
BBQ’s must be used in a responsible manner with reasonable safety measures taken and must not be left unattended.
BBQ’s must be put out by 10pm and ensure that the ashes are contained and completely extinguished and cold before leaving them.
•
We have a metal bin for the disposal of cold ashes.
•
Please ensure that smoke and fumes do not annoy fellow campers.
CAMPFIRES: *ONLY WOOD PURCHASED FROM US CAN BE USED FOR YOUR CAMPFIRES*
•
Small, controlled Campfires are only permitted on the gravel on the foreshore of the lake, close to the water’s edge.
•
NO campfires, raised fires, chimineas or fire pits on any grass or pitches.
•
“Bonfires” where flames are in excess of 1 metre from the ground are not permitted at any time.
•
Please do not bring your own wood to burn on campfires with you.
•
Everything you need to have a campfire can be purchased on site.
•
Burning of painted or treated wood releases an array of toxic fumes into the atmosphere which is highly dangerous to you and fellow campers and the
environment.
•
Collecting dead or live wood from around the campsite or the surrounding farmland or woodland is strictly forbidden.
•
Please do not leave your fire unattended at any time.
•
No coal or flammable fuels such as petrol may be used.
•
Fireworks or Chinese lanterns are not permitted.
•
Please ensure that the smoke does not annoy fellow campers.
FIRE PRECAUTIONS AND EQUIPMENT:
•
You must ensure that all occupants of your party are familiar with the location of the fire point, firefighting equipment and the contents of the fire notices
displayed at each unit. They are situated in prominent places around the site.
•
You must not use the fire extinguishers for any improper purposes.
•
Muster point is situated at the back of reception.
•
There is a legal requirement (imposed by the local authority) that all units must be 6 metres apart.
•
Vehicles, awnings, or trailers are permitted to park within the 6-metre space, but in order to restrict the spread of fire, there should always be 3 metre CLEAR
space within the 6 metres separation. No seating or camping equipment (including wind breakers) is permitted in the fire break.
•
If you pitch too close to another unit or you do not have the clear space/fire break as requested above, you will be asked to move.
SAFETY AND SECURITY:
•
You must use the site safely and not cause danger to others.
•
You must obey all Health and Safety notices displayed at the campsite and act on the reasonable instructions of the campsite owners and staff in matters of
Health and Safety.
•
Footwear must be worn on walking into the facilities and please remove your wetsuits before entering the facilities.
•
24-hour CCTV recording is in operation in various locations around the site.
•
Protected by “Ring” – 24/7 video and audio surveillance.
REFUSE/ RECYCLING/LITTERING: The Waste and Recycling bins are situated behind Reception. CCTV in operation.
Due to new laws introduced in Wales from April 2024 – ALL waste and recycling will need to be separated into FIVE bins.

PAPER AND CARDBOARD *clean paper, magazines & newspaper/NO takeaway boxes*

METAL CANS, PLASTICS AND CARTONS *clean items*
3.
GLASS BOTTLES AND JARS (any colour) *clean items*
4.
FOOD WASTE *please only use biodegradable bags*
5.
HOUSEHOLD WASTE THAT CANNOT BE RECYCLED.
•
Gas canisters should not be placed in any of the bins (Please ask at Reception).
•
WE DO NOT ACCEPT BULKY WASTE (Cardboard boxes, airbeds, tents, chairs, gazebos, wind breaks, camping or cooking equipment, BBQ’s, tyres, electrical
items etc) – THESE ITEMS MUST BE TAKEN HOME WITH YOU.
•
You will be liable for a £25 charge if we end up having to dispose of your bulky items.
TOILETS/SEWAGE AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS:
•
Chemical toilet waste must be contained in a suitable container and emptied in the allocated facility, not in the toilet block or anywhere else on site.
•
Only environmentally friendly biodegradable liquids are to be used.
•
Grey Waste must be contained in a suitable container and emptied in the allocated facility, not on your pitch, the grass or the lake or any hedges.
•
Please do not put any items, even if they state they are biodegradable, into the drainage system, including (but not limited to) wipes, nappies, sanitary
products etc.
NOISE:
•
Radios/tv’s/music or any electronic sound needs to be kept at a very low volume.
•
No noise or music after 10pm so not to disturb fellow campers.
•
Unruly behaviour is not tolerated.
•
Use of generators is strictly prohibited on the site.
USING LLYN TEGID (BALA LAKE): The lake is owned and managed by the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.
•
Use of the lake is at your own risk and Buoyancy aids/life jackets must be worn at all times.
•
All boat launching, canoeing, paddleboarding and fishing requires a lake permit which can be obtained from the Pay and Display Machine, which is situated
outside Reception. (CARD PAYMENT ONLY).

LOST PROPERTY:
•
Lost Property that is found on the campsite will be kept for one month from the date that it was found. If the property has not been claimed within the
specified time frame, then it will be sold, and proceeds donated to our chosen charity or otherwise disposed of. Please contact us if you are seeking to find
lost property.
•
Should you wish to have an item of found property returned, we will require the date of your stay together with a description of the item. An administration
fee of £10 plus the postage and packing charge will be made for the return of the item/s depending on the size and nature of the property. The
postage/packing charge will be agreed with you in advance. You are of course welcome to collect your property or make your own arrangements for courier
collection.
GENERAL and OTHER:
•
Grass cutting and maintenance will be carried out within a reasonable hour, please be patient as we try to complete the work as quickly as possible.
•
The washing of pots, pans, dishes, clothes, paddle boards and boats etc is strictly prohibited under the campsite’s drinking water points.
•
Please do not wash your clothes in any of the campsite’s sinks, please ask at Reception for assistance.
•
Washing of all motor vehicles including caravans is not allowed on site.
•
We do not allow the use of drones over the site.
•
No Rope swings are to be erected anywhere around the campsite.
•
No Paddling pools/hot tubs are to be used on the site.
•
Commercial vans are allowed by prior arrangement.
•
Taxis and lifts will collect and drop you off at reception. They will not be allowed to drive to your pitch.
•
You must not use our address for postal or courier deliveries without our permission.
•
Deliveries – no deliveries will be delivered to your pitch. Please meet your delivery at Reception.
No deliveries will be allowed onto the site after 8 pm.
•
We will freeze ice packs in reception, please ensure that they are marked with your family name. Donation kindly requested to our local chosen charity.
•
Mobile phones and electronic items can be charged during reception hours – at a charge of £1 per item.
•
Reception Opening hours, our contact number including our OUT OF HOURS contact number can be found displayed on the information board and the
reception window. We are available out of reception hours in an emergency.
•
Please notify us if you have an emergency or if you are concerned about any issues overnight or when reception is closed – We would rather deal with any
nuisance behaviour or issues/problems at the time, than find out the next day.
•
If you fail to arrive before 9pm on the day of arrival and we do not hear from you, we reserve the right to re-let from 9am the next day.
•
We understand that sometimes things change at the last minute, (e.g. change from campervan to tent, bringing a different size tent to what has been booked
in), it is important that we are made aware of the last-minute changes.
•
No recreational drugs are tolerated on site at any time.
•
The Campsite Owners and staff reserve the right to ask person(s) to vacate their pitch if not adhering to the above terms and conditions, which include the
following:
*If you act in a manner likely to upset or annoy other campers.
*If you behave unreasonably towards the owners and staff.
*If you are guilty of a criminal offence.
•
The Campsite Owners and staff reserve the right to refuse/cancel any bookings without explanation.
•
The Campsite Owners and staff will not be held responsible for any damage, loss or accidents to any persons or their property.
•
The Campsite Owners and staff reserves the right to make changes to above terms and conditions and to alter prices without notice.
•
The Campsite Owners and staff reserve the right to request further payments be made for any shortfall in fees charged, as a result of any error in the
calculation of fees.
•
The Campsite Owners and staff reserve the right to refuse entry and re-allocate pitches, if necessary, without the need for explanation.
COMPLAINTS:
•
We want everyone to enjoy their stay with us.
•
Should you have a cause for complaint, you must speak to us face to face and allow us a chance to resolve the problem, whilst you are still on site.
•
We may not be able to deal with your issue if you have left the site.
•
If the problem cannot be resolved, please email us.
DATA Protection and Privacy Policy
•
The personal information that you supply us will be stored for administrative purposes only.
•
We will only communicate with you in accordance with our Privacy Policy, a copy is displayed on our website.

Family/Friends of 2 or more units and Organised groups (e.g Canoe clubs,
Sailing Clubs, Walking groups, school groups, Scouts and D of E etc.) must be
by prior arrangement and will be at the campsite’s discretion.

Payments:

Your booking will be confirmed by email once a payment has been received.
•
Payment constitutes accepting all our terms and conditions.
•
Our Tariff is displayed on our website and is based on a per night stay.
•
All payments are inclusive of VAT. If the VAT rate changes, we reserve the
right to charge you accordingly.
•
All payments are non-refundable/non-transferable in any circumstances
unless we cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances.
•
All payments are NOT transferable to a third party.
•

If you must cut your stay short for any reason, you will not be entitled to any
refunds.

All major credit and debit cards are accepted, and we do not charge card
transaction fees.
DEPOSIT Camping Pitch:
•
A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of 30% of the booking amount
(including pitch additionals) is required when booking a pitch.
DEPOSIT Shepherds Hut:
•
A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit is equivalent to the first night stay
(including pitch additionals).
Balance Payment:
•
You will receive an email 28 days prior to your arrival date and the balance
payment is due 21 days prior to check in.
•
We will always attempt to contact you once via email and/or text message
before cancelling your booking, however if we fail to receive a response within
24 hours, your booking will be cancelled, and we will retain your deposit as a
cancellation charge.
Change of dates:
•
If you need to change the dates booked, this is subject to availability, and we
require 29 days notice before the booked arrival date and an administration
fee of £10 per pitch.
•
A change of date amendment can only be made once, and the new dates
must be in the same year of the original dates booked.
•
If we do not have availability and you then wish to cancel, any monies paid
will not be refunded.
•
Deposit payments are non-refundable/non-transferable under any
circumstances, and it will not be refunded if you reduce the number of nights
booked.
•
You can add additional dates to your existing booking, subject to availability,
no administration fee will be charged.
Booking Amendments:
•
If you wish to make any amendments to your booking, this is subject to
availability, and we require 29 days notice before the booked arrival date and
an administration fee of £10 per pitch.
•
You can add additionals to your existing booking, subject to availability, no
administration fee will be charged.
Cancellation:
•
Cancellation requests received 21 days or more prior to your planned arrival
date will be accepted subject to forfeiture of your booking deposit payment.
•
Cancellation request received 21 days or less prior to your planned arrival
date you will forfeit all monies paid.
•
Extras of any description are considered part of your booking and are
therefore non-refundable if they are cancelled whether in part or fully.
•
No refunds are given under any circumstances whether for non-arrival,
arriving on a different day to your booked arrival date or you depart earlier
than your booked departure date.
•

Insurance:

Your inability (or inability of any, some or all of your intended party) or
disinclination to travel and stay at the Campsite for any reason, including (but
is not limited to) illness (including Covid), a requirement or recommendation
to self-isolate or quarantine, shielding, jury duty, military service, incarceration,
change in personal or work circumstances, family emergencies, accident,
injury, travel delays, vehicle breakdown, and delays with public transport.
These remain at your risk and do not give rise to a right to cancel, amend your
booking or to receive any refund.
•
YOU ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE
TO COVER THESE EVENTUALITIES.
IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE THEN YOU ACCEPT

CANCELLATION.
Inclement Weather:
•
We are unable to control the weather, a bad weather forecast is not and will
never be a ground for refund or to move a booking.
Circumstances beyond our control:
•
We are not liable for refunds or expenses you may incur in the event we are
prevented from fulfilling your booking because of circumstances beyond our
control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war,
terrorism, riots, or civil unrest, Strikes and Industrial action, weather, flooding,
natural disasters, pandemic and epidemic, health risks, failure of public or
private utilities or such similar events (“Force Majeure.”)
•
WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU HAVE ADEQUATE HOLIDAY INSURANCE IN
PLACE TO COVER THIS.
IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE THEN YOU ACCEPT
RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY LOSS THAT YOU MAY INCUR DUE TO YOUR
CANCELLATION.
Cancellation by us:
•
If for any reason (excluding circumstances beyond our control), we have to
cancel your booking, we will offer you a full refund of any fees paid or the
option of an alternative pitch/date (with you paying any additional cost or
receiving a refund in respect of a price difference.)
•
No other compensation is available.
Lockdown:
•
In the event that your given address is put into local or regional lockdown with
a travel restriction covering your booking dates, or your booking has to be
cancelled due to us being put under Government Restrictions and we have to
close and the period of closure covers your booking, we will transfer your
booking dates to another date within the same year, with no administration
fee and no restriction of the number of days’ notice.
CHECK IN: (Arrival on Site)
•
CAMPING: Check in time is between 1pm and 7pm.
•
SHEPHERDS HUT: Check in time is between 2pm and 7pm.
•
Please plan your journey to ensure that you do not arrive before the check in
time.
•
All New Arrivals must report to reception, please call us on arrival if reception
is closed.
•
Late arrivals by prior arrangement only. Strictly no new arrivals after 9pm.
(This rule is in place to protect our campers from disturbance caused by late
pitching).
•
Late arrivals without prior notification, will be subject to a late check in fee.
•
If you fail to arrive on the booked date and have not notified us of your
delayed arrival, your booking will be cancelled at 9am the following morning
and the pitch re-let. You will not be entitled to any refund or postponement of
the booking.
CHECK OUT: (Departure from Site)
•
CAMPING: Check out time is before 11am.
•
SHEPHERDS HUT: Check out time is before 10am.
•
Please help the smooth running of the changeovers by observing the above
times.
•
Late departure which subsequently impedes the arrival of the next guests will
incur a late check out fee.
•
It may be possible for you to stay on site until 6pm on the day of departure or
you may wish to extend your stay, these are by prior arrangement and subject
to availability. Please contact Reception before 10.00am. *Charges apply*.
VISITORS (DAY OR OVERNIGHT): *Charges apply* (Please email us for prices).
*Anyone who wishes to visit you on the campsite, whether for “only 10
minutes,” “an hour or so” OR to stay overnight*
•
Visitors (DAY) -Visiting Times - Arrival and departure times are between 10
am and 6 pm.
Please do not ask to extend their stay beyond 6pm as it will not be possible.
This is for the security and comfort of the campers staying on site. *No Day
Visitors after 2pm.*
•
Visitors (OVERNIGHT) – Day Visitors including a 1-night stay - Arrival after
10am and must depart by 11am next day.
•
We have a responsibility to ensure the enjoyment of our overnight camping
guests first and foremost over a request for Visitors. We therefore have a
strict visitors policy.
•
We allow a limited number of people on to the site at any one time and will
only be allowed at the discretion of the Campsite Owners and Staff.
•
Charges apply for all visitors and 24 hours’ notice is required.
•
It is your responsibility to ensure your visitors adhere to our full terms and
conditions.
If they do not adhere to our terms and conditions, all of you will be asked to leave
the site, with no refund given.
•
All Visitors must be checked in at reception on arrival with names, contact
numbers and vehicle registration numbers and must park in the allocated
parking space.
•
If visitors are found on site that are not booked in, all of you will be asked to
leave immediately, with no refund given.
•
We reserve the right to restrict visitors where it is necessary to maintain
overall site safety and security.
PITCHES:
•
All pitches are pre-allocated before arrival. Where possible, we will try to
accommodate your specific requests, however we cannot guarantee that we
will be able to accommodate your requests.
•
Pitching of tents or the siting of caravans, motorhomes and all other units
must be on the specific pitch and within the pitch boundary as advised on
arrival by the campsite owners and staff.
•
Awnings, toilet tent, A frame tow-car with Motorhome or Campervan and
small trailer for camping equipment are included in the pitch price.
•
We do not accept stand-alone tents or gazebos/event shelters as awnings.
Drive-away awnings are accepted.
•
Pop up tents, gazebos/event shelters are allowed, must be pre booked and
are chargeable.
•
Our definition of a Pop-Up tent = Storage tent or small 1 person tent that is
occupied solely by a child under the age of 15 years old.
•
Some parts of the campsite have slopes and levelling ramps may be required.
•
You must keep your pitch and the area around your unit clean and tidy to
allow for grass cutting.
•
Please do not carry any items such as stones, driftwood etc. to your pitch.
In order to prevent permanent damage to the grass pitches:
•
All awning and tent ground sheets must be breathable, we ask that you lift
them at frequent intervals during your stay or as required by the campsite
owners and staff.
•
Tents will be required to move pitch after seven days. We will assist you with
this move.
ELECTRIC HOOK UPS:
•
Units that require electric hook up and Units that do not require electric hook
up will not be pitched together.
•
Tents requiring electrical hook up must have the correct hook up cable with
circuit breaker.
•
You may need a 25m cable to make connection to some electric hook ups,
depending on the specific location of the pitch assigned to you. We do carry
“on loan” cables.
•
Electric cars must NOT be plugged in and charged using any electric hook up
points on your pitch or any other socket on the site. If we find a car charging
via an electric hook up or any other socket on site an instant £50 fine will be
imposed.
(A designated charging point may be available on the site sometime in the future,
for which there will be a charge.)
Please ask at Reception for the nearest charging points.
•
No Splitters or adaptors to be used. Only ONE electric hook up cable from
ONE electric hook up point per pitch to your main unit OR awning OR gazebo.
No other leads/adapters or splitters to be used.
•
Strictly NO electric household heaters to be used in units or awnings at any
time. *Camping heaters only.
CHILDREN:
•
Children are the responsibility of their parents/guardians at all times.
•
Young children must be supervised in the toilet and shower block.
•
Soft ball games only and avoid playing close to other campers’ units.
DOGS:
•
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on condition that they are always kept on
short leads (no more than 2 metres).
•
Any accidental fouling is to be picked up immediately and placed in the
correct bins.
•
No dangerous breeds as listed on the Dangerous Dog Act 1991.
•
No dogs (except assistance dogs) must enter the toilet and shower block.
•
Dogs can be let off the lead at the lake’s edge to go into the lake but must be
put back on the lead once out of the lake.
•
You must not leave your dog in your unit, awning or on the pitch
unaccompanied.
•
Young children should not be left in charge of dogs.
•
Please do not use any of the wash facilities to clean your dog.
VEHICLES /BOATS AND TRAILERS:
•
One vehicle per pitch is permitted to park on the pitch. (Ground and weather
conditions permitting).
•
Additional vehicles by arrangement only.
•
Vehicles should avoid driving on the grass other than to access the pitch.
•
All vehicles must observe the 10-mph speed limit and no vehicle movement
after 10pm and before 6am.
•
All boats and trailers are to be parked on the foreshore gravel and not on your
pitch (or pitches).
•
Cars, boats and trailers must not park or obstruct the launching area.
•
Please notify us if you have requested assistance for a breakdown vehicle (no
breakdown vehicle after 8pm).
TREES/BUSHES/ENVIRONMENT:
•
Trees, bushes, and shrubs on the campsite are protected under SSSI
regulations.
•
Please do not climb or sit on the trees or roots or cut/damage them in any
way.
•
Do not collect live or dead wood from around the campsite or the surrounding
farmland and woodland.
•
The site is situated within a rural environment of the Eryri National Park, and
we do not accept responsibility for any damage, injury or inconvenience
caused by the weather, plants, trees, insects, animals or wildlife.
DARK SKY RESERVE:
•
We are in a Dark Sky Reserve and therefore ask that all lighting is kept to a
minimum to avoid light pollution.
•
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site
are unlit.
BARBEQUES:
•
Charcoal or gas only BBQs allowed on the pitches.
•
All BBQ’s must be raised at least 40 cm off the grass and must be outside in
open air at all times and be 3 metres away from all units (tents, caravans,
vehicles, hedges, trees or property).
•
We do not allow BBQ’s to be made into fires after cooking on your pitch.
•
BBQ’s must be used in a responsible manner with reasonable safety
measures taken and must not be left unattended.
BBQ’s must be put out by 10pm and ensure that the ashes are contained and
completely extinguished and cold before leaving them.
•
We have a metal bin for the disposal of cold ashes.
•
Please ensure that smoke and fumes do not annoy fellow campers.
CAMPFIRES: *ONLY WOOD PURCHASED FROM US CAN BE USED FOR YOUR
CAMPFIRES*
•
Small, controlled Campfires are only permitted on the gravel on the foreshore
of the lake, close to the water’s edge.
•
NO campfires, raised fires, chimineas or fire pits on any grass or pitches.
•
“Bonfires” where flames are in excess of 1 metre from the ground are not
permitted at any time.
•
Please do not bring your own wood to burn on campfires with you.
•
Everything you need to have a campfire can be purchased on site.
•
Burning of painted or treated wood releases an array of toxic fumes into the
atmosphere which is highly dangerous to you and fellow campers and the
environment.
•
Collecting dead or live wood from around the campsite or the surrounding
farmland or woodland is strictly forbidden.
•
Please do not leave your fire unattended at any time.
•
No coal or flammable fuels such as petrol may be used.
•
Fireworks or Chinese lanterns are not permitted.
•
Please ensure that the smoke does not annoy fellow campers.
FIRE PRECAUTIONS AND EQUIPMENT:
•
You must ensure that all occupants of your party are familiar with the
location of the fire point, firefighting equipment and the contents of the fire
notices displayed at each unit. They are situated in prominent places around
the site.
•
You must not use the fire extinguishers for any improper purposes.
•
Muster point is situated at the back of reception.
•
There is a legal requirement (imposed by the local authority) that all units
must be 6 metres apart.
•
Vehicles, awnings, or trailers are permitted to park within the 6-metre space,
but in order to restrict the spread of fire, there should always be 3 metre
CLEAR space within the 6 metres separation. No seating or camping
equipment (including wind breakers) is permitted in the fire break.
•
If you pitch too close to another unit or you do not have the clear space/fire
break as requested above, you will be asked to move.
SAFETY AND SECURITY:
•
You must use the site safely and not cause danger to others.
•
You must obey all Health and Safety notices displayed at the campsite and
act on the reasonable instructions of the campsite owners and staff in
matters of Health and Safety.
•
Footwear must be worn on walking into the facilities and please remove your
wetsuits before entering the facilities.
•
24-hour CCTV recording is in operation in various locations around the site.
•
Protected by “Ring” – 24/7 video and audio surveillance.
REFUSE/ RECYCLING/LITTERING: The Waste and Recycling bins are situated
behind Reception. CCTV in operation.
Due to new laws introduced in Wales from April 2024 – ALL waste and recycling
will need to be separated into FIVE bins.

Gas canisters should not be placed in any of the bins (Please ask at
Reception).

WE DO NOT ACCEPT BULKY WASTE (Cardboard boxes, airbeds, tents,
chairs, gazebos, wind breaks, camping or cooking equipment, BBQ’s, tyres,
electrical items etc) – THESE ITEMS MUST BE TAKEN HOME WITH YOU.
•
You will be liable for a £25 charge if we end up having to dispose of your
bulky items.
TOILETS/SEWAGE AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS:
•
Chemical toilet waste must be contained in a suitable container and emptied
in the allocated facility, not in the toilet block or anywhere else on site.
•
Only environmentally friendly biodegradable liquids are to be used.
•
Grey Waste must be contained in a suitable container and emptied in the
allocated facility, not on your pitch, the grass or the lake or any hedges.
•
Please do not put any items, even if they state they are biodegradable, into the
drainage system, including (but not limited to) wipes, nappies, sanitary
products etc.
NOISE:
•
Radios/tv’s/music or any electronic sound needs to be kept at a very low
volume.
•
No noise or music after 10pm so not to disturb fellow campers.
•
Unruly behaviour is not tolerated.
•
Use of generators is strictly prohibited on the site.
USING LLYN TEGID (BALA LAKE): The lake is owned and managed by the Eryri
(Snowdonia) National Park.
•
Use of the lake is at your own risk and Buoyancy aids/life jackets must be
worn at all times.
•
All boat launching, canoeing, paddleboarding and fishing requires a lake
permit which can be obtained from the Pay and Display Machine, which is
situated outside Reception. (CARD PAYMENT ONLY).

LOST PROPERTY:
•
Lost Property that is found on the campsite will be kept for one month from
the date that it was found. If the property has not been claimed within the
specified time frame, then it will be sold, and proceeds donated to our chosen
charity or otherwise disposed of. Please contact us if you are seeking to find
lost property.
•
Should you wish to have an item of found property returned, we will require
the date of your stay together with a description of the item. An
administration fee of £10 plus the postage and packing charge will be made
for the return of the item/s depending on the size and nature of the property.
The postage/packing charge will be agreed with you in advance. You are of
course welcome to collect your property or make your own arrangements for
courier collection.
GENERAL and OTHER:
•
Grass cutting and maintenance will be carried out within a reasonable hour,
please be patient as we try to complete the work as quickly as possible.
•
The washing of pots, pans, dishes, clothes, paddle boards and boats etc is
strictly prohibited under the campsite’s drinking water points.
•
Please do not wash your clothes in any of the campsite’s sinks, please ask at
Reception for assistance.
•
Washing of all motor vehicles including caravans is not allowed on site.
•
We do not allow the use of drones over the site.
•
No Rope swings are to be erected anywhere around the campsite.
•
No Paddling pools/hot tubs are to be used on the site.
•
Commercial vans are allowed by prior arrangement.
•
Taxis and lifts will collect and drop you off at reception. They will not be
allowed to drive to your pitch.
•
You must not use our address for postal or courier deliveries without our
permission.
•
Deliveries – no deliveries will be delivered to your pitch. Please meet your
delivery at Reception.
No deliveries will be allowed onto the site after 8 pm.
•
We will freeze ice packs in reception, please ensure that they are marked with
your family name. Donation kindly requested to our local chosen charity.
•
Mobile phones and electronic items can be charged during reception hours –
at a charge of £1 per item.
•
Reception Opening hours, our contact number including our OUT OF HOURS
contact number can be found displayed on the information board and the
reception window. We are available out of reception hours in an emergency.
•
Please notify us if you have an emergency or if you are concerned about any
issues overnight or when reception is closed – We would rather deal with any
nuisance behaviour or issues/problems at the time, than find out the next day.
•
If you fail to arrive before 9pm on the day of arrival and we do not hear from
you, we reserve the right to re-let from 9am the next day.
•
We understand that sometimes things change at the last minute, (e.g. change
from campervan to tent, bringing a different size tent to what has been
booked in), it is important that we are made aware of the last-minute
changes.
•
No recreational drugs are tolerated on site at any time.
•
The Campsite Owners and staff reserve the right to ask person(s) to vacate
their pitch if not adhering to the above terms and conditions, which include
the following:
*If you act in a manner likely to upset or annoy other campers.
*If you behave unreasonably towards the owners and staff.
*If you are guilty of a criminal offence.
•
The Campsite Owners and staff reserve the right to refuse/cancel any
bookings without explanation.
•
The Campsite Owners and staff will not be held responsible for any damage,
loss or accidents to any persons or their property.
•
The Campsite Owners and staff reserves the right to make changes to above
terms and conditions and to alter prices without notice.
•
The Campsite Owners and staff reserve the right to request further payments
be made for any shortfall in fees charged, as a result of any error in the
calculation of fees.
•
The Campsite Owners and staff reserve the right to refuse entry and re-
allocate pitches, if necessary, without the need for explanation.
COMPLAINTS:
•
We want everyone to enjoy their stay with us.
•
Should you have a cause for complaint, you must speak to us face to face
and allow us a chance to resolve the problem, whilst you are still on site.
•
We may not be able to deal with your issue if you have left the site.
•
If the problem cannot be resolved, please email us.
DATA Protection and Privacy Policy
•
The personal information that you supply us will be stored for administrative
purposes only.
•
We will only communicate with you in accordance with our Privacy Policy, a
copy is displayed on our website.
COVID: We kindly ask that you follow the NHS and the Welsh Government
guidelines.
