Things to do The small market town of Bala is just 3 miles away and provides shops, restaurants, leisure and water sports centres, pubs and takeaways. A narrow-gauge railway running from LLANUWCHLLYN to BALA runs to the rear of the site and the Llangower Halt station is within easy walking distance from the campsite. (www.bala-lake-railway.co.uk) The National White Water Centre, (LL23 7NU - 5 miles from campsite) offers fantastic white water rafting adventures. (www.nationalwhitewatercentre.co.uk) Manon’s Riverside Café is located at the Centre and is open to the public, an ideal spot to enjoy a bite to eat or a freshly brewed coffee. (Dog Friendly) Or why not enjoy a stroll along the Riverside Walk (Tryweryn Trail). Further details can be obtained from the centre. Corris Caverns (SY20 9RF) - www.caverns.wales Why not discover Wales underground and above ground, there’s something for everyone come rain or shine. King Arthur’s Labyrinth, Corris Mine Explores, Corris Craft Centre and the award winning gin distillery. Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) (www.eryri-npa.gov.uk) is the largest National Park in Wales. It boasts the highest mountain Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and the largest natural lake. (Llyn Tegid/Bala Lake).
